As majority of the population on this tiny island-state officially usher in the Year of the Rodent, another social pest of sorts has again reared its ugly head.

Yes, i'm talking about none other than gambling, Singaporeans' favourite pastime.

Yes, it's that festive time of the year where each and every household - across all racial divides - gets transformed into a mini-casino. And with no intervention from the authorities. So gambling is as legal as it gets.
